Hold Firmly in Your Faith!

Along with Abraham and Jeremiah, the Psalmist knew God was his source of help and strength through the life challenges.

~ “I cried to my God for help. From His temple He heard my voice; my cry came before Him, into His ears.” ‒ Psalm 18:6

~ “I called to You for help and You healed me.” ‒ Psalm 30:2

~ “We wait in hope for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.” ‒ Psalm 33:20

~ “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” ‒ Psalm 46:1

~ “My help comes from the LORD.” ‒ Psalm 121:1

~ “God has said, ‘Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.” So can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” ‒ Hebrews 13:5-6

God could take our trials, hurts, or storms away, but when we surrender to His will, He says to us, “I have something better—I will give you My strength and courage beyond what you can imagine and grace to sustain you. I will give you My love and presence in your darkest days.”

The Apostle Paul tells us in II Corinthians 12 that he struggled with his weakness and asked the Lord three times to take away the “thorn in his flesh.” We read the answer that came to Paul. God’s grace is sufficient! A light broke through, and Paul proclaimed:

“Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weakness, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” ‒ 2 Corinthians 12:10
